Meet Laura Brown

Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Menopause Specialist. Advocate for Better Care.

Laura Brown (she/her) is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), one of approximately 1,300 clinicians nationwide with this certification. She is also a Certified Coach through Koach Training, bringing a unique blend of clinical expertise and coaching skills to her work with women in midlife.

Laura is the founder and provider behind Sapphire Women’s Healthcare, where she specializes in menopause care, women’s sexual health, and whole-person support for women navigating midlife health changes.

Laura began her Nurse Practitioner career in Internal Medicine, gaining a broad foundation in adult health before transitioning into OBGYN, where she focused on women’s health across the lifespan. Earlier in her career, she worked as a pediatric home health nurse, camp nurse, and Patient Care Technician on the Transitional Care Unit at Emerson Hospital.

Throughout these roles, Laura consistently saw a gap in the quality of care, education, and support available to women approaching menopause. Many patients felt dismissed, misunderstood, or left without effective options—an experience that deeply shaped how she practices today.

Her approach is grounded in evidence-based medicine, education, and shared decision-making, with the goal of helping women feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.
