FAQs

  • We take pride in the time and specialized care we provide each patient. Insurance plans often severely limit the time a clinician can spend with a patient and sometimes the type of care; therefore, Sapphire Women's Healthcare does not participate with in-network plans.

We are a cash-pay, fee for service company, and are not contracted with any medical insurance companies and are therefore considered "out-of-network." However, you can utilize your HSA or FSA account. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept most major credit cards, and we do require you to have a card on file.

We do not bill insurance, however as a courtesy, we will provide a “superbill” for you to file with your insurance company. The amount of reimbursement will depend on your specific insurance plan and deductible. We do not guarantee reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your insurance plan to determine if you will be reimbursed for any of your services.

We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare. You may NOT file a claim with any of these government health plans as Laura Brown, WHNP-BC has opted out of these plans.

  • Due to the specialty nature of our clinic we do not provide primary care or general gynecology services. We recommend you are established with these types of providers for preventative healthcare services outside of Sapphire Women's Healthcare.

  • Yes! This is one of the main focuses of our practice. This may include estrogen, progesterone, and/or testosterone. We do NOT insert or prescribe pellets. Working together we will determine what is a safe, effective treatment for you based on your particular concerns and medical history.

  • Inside Pregnancy and Postpartum PT in Westford, MA.

  • Patients who are experiencing a medical emergency must call 911, go to urgent care, or their local emergency room to receive care. Sapphire Women's Healthcare does not provide emergency physical or mental health services and we do not have a clinician on call during our off-hours.

  • We require all patients to be seen at least once per year to ensure that prescribed medications remain safe and appropriate. Ongoing care, including follow-up visits and any recommended labs or imaging, is an important part of that process.

If required follow-up care is overdue, we may pause medication refills until those steps are completed. This is a standard safety practice and helps us provide the highest level of care to all patients.
